Maintenance Tips
Cedar will turn a silvery grey with a rustic, weathered look if left unfinished. A quality stain can be applied to cedar to maintain its natural look and maintain its durability. Oil-based stains with either a tinted transparent finish or a lightly pigmented semitransparent finish will enhance the luster of your cedar shed. Stains that offer shielding from mildew and ultraviolet rays are recommended. Varnishes and other film-forming coatings that can crack or peel are not recommended.
